This is a beautifully-written piece, Tommesa! My husband and I had our two little foster children overnight for the first time last weekend. It was my first experience seeing the world through the eyes of a young child, and it was absolutely addictive. This alone seems reason enough to shoulder the demands of parenting.

Oh and to clarify, I was banking on the parenting being rewarding part. Thank you for your confidence in my skills, though! I think I’m doing alright so far. One day down, a lifetime to go!
Thanks Liz, you know how much I look forwardd to your comments. Yes this is a new publication. I started the last one, but didn't really know where I was going with it. The I experience several life-altering event in rapid sucession. And put writing on hold for a while until I figured out exactly what I wanted to do. In the meantime, I had a few realizations that brought me back to writing but, with a different energy and direction. At first, I was going to pick up where I left off on the old publication but it didn't feel right anymore. So I did away with it. It only had the one post anyway. This is the one I will stick with moving forward. I hope all that makes sense.
Fortunately, this one won’t be so different. The name and branding changed, but I’m still me. Think of this as the new and improved version. Interestingly, you and “Liz Explores” were the inspiration behind some of the improvements I’ve made. I’ll tell you more about that privately. 🥰

BTW way, parenting is challenging but amazingly rewarding. If you choose to keep going in that direction, you'll be an amazing mother.
